Afghanistan's Ministry of Energy and Water is waiting on spending plan approval on the much-needed Panjshir to Kabul water channel task –-- which, once completed, will alleviate the severe water lack crisis in the capital.
Matiullah Abid, representative for the Ministry of Energy and Water, validated the preliminary phase of evaluating and planning of the project is total and building work will begin as quickly as the budget plan has actually been approved.
Abid stated the objective of the project is to help in reducing water scarcity issues in Kabul.
“& ldquo; The study, style, and technical research studies of the Panjshir water move job have actually been completed by the Ministry of Energy and Water, and the job [budget] has been sent to the management of the Islamic Emirate for approval,” & rdquo; he said.

The plan to transfer water from the Panjshir River to Kabul was created in 2012.
In the 2020 budget of under the previous government, around $5 million was designated for the yearly transfer of 100 million cubic meters of Panjshir River water to Kabul.
The task was expected to be completed by 2023 however never ever got off the ground until the Islamic Emirate takeover.
